DEVICE MANAGER

COMMON CHECKING DURING COMPUTER TROUBLESHOOTING


DEVICE MANAGER

1. Right click on My Computer icon on desktop. Select Properties.

2. Choose Hardware menu and select Device Manager at the centre of the windows.

3. Device Manager windows will appear as shown below. The first diagram shows hardware without any problem while the second windows shows 2 hardware (mark with “!”) that have driver problem although system can detect the hardware. To fix this kind of problem we have to install the right driver in to the system.

4. To install driver, simply right click on the device and choose Update Driver.

5. Choose to let windows search the driver or browse for specific folder destination.
